Welcome to Styrofoam Peanuts! Where we not only abuse dieties, but ourselves as well.
Scott And His Hobbies
05-05-01 - Happy Cinco De Mayo! Yo quiero el pantostado loco, y mis padres eres potretumbre en los McDonald's! (and for our non-spanish speaking friends: I like the crazy toast, and my relatives are rotting in the McDonalds.) I tried my hand at anime, and drew us all in the much-loved japanese style of cartoons. It can be found in the Art section along with a bunch of random anime sketches I made when trying to learn how to draw anime. I must now dawn my sombrero and dance la cucaracha, asta la vista, amigos.
05-03-01 - I'm gonna put something in the Art section during the next update, that place is kinda empty. I need to go drink some Sunny Delight and have a sandwich now..
04-30-01 - I know I haven't updated in like, ever, but I've been busy, and I'm back now, and ta da! New comic. Featuring Angelina Jolie, after making this comic I thought I should add in more significant hotties in future comics... Rose McGowan, Natalie Portman, Jennifer Love Hewitt... *passes out*... whoa, sorry. Ok, I'm back.... what the hell was I talking about? Oh yeah, stay in school.
04-24-01 - Did this one cross the line? Nah, it's just good harmless fun... I don't have alot of time to write a huge new post so...
04-22-01 - Yup, Satan is afflicted with asthma... Anyways, today's quote comes from FF9, Zidane sais that to Vivi right before they both urinate off a cliff... I laughed so hard I thought I was gonna go back in time. FF9, good game. I mine as well plug some other games that run on the PS2 while I'm here, Winback: Covert Operations, SSX and Time Sweepers, they all kick mucho ass. If you have the system, I highly rcomend picking them up.
04-18-01 - Here's the comic, and two days late, my bad. I also really half-assed it, so it looks like crap, again, my bad. I don't know if you noticed but they replaced the lime flavor in Skittles for a limited time with green apple. They want you to vote on which flavor you like better and I don't think the green apple goes well with the other flavors. I'm too lazy to actually vote, but if you have the efficiency to do so, vote Lime, together we can save the Skittle.
04-18-01 (Part deux) - It's me again, I just had another bag of Skittles and I looked a little closer at the bag and as it turns out it's not a mail-in vote. They're holding the thing at www.skittles.com, so I did vote and I urge you to do the same. I love skittles, and I know you do too, so let's all vote lime.
04-12-01 - I'm throwing up the next comic today because I won't have a new one ready until Monday, so enjoy and have a happy Easter. Also, as promised on the board, there is an addition to the Essays section, and it's about the president about the president. Go check it out. Alright, buh-bye.
04-11-01 - The scary thing is that Luke actually has the ability to do that, no joke. I'd just like to say hi to the fine folks at PC Gamer's Customer Relations. I got a call from them because my idiot mailman keeps forgetting my renew-subscription form. They were amazingly nice since I was a 'loyal customer', the woman even pronounced my last name right. Sfinas. You try it, seriously.
04-10-01 - Holy ass, we got linked by Rusty Shrapnel. *runs around tidying up.* No new comic, I just thought I'd share this lil' bit o' news with everyone. Thanks CZ, get well soon. Later.
04-09-01 - New comic, and woo hoo. Look everyone, I hung myself from the rafters... I'm so proud. I hope you all know the difference between an antonym and a synonym, Scott and I aced a test because we could tell the difference and no one else in our class could! (We was edumicated at Whitesboro. -Scott)
04-06-01 - Yeh, Luke and I never really urinated on nuns, though it's pretty funny to imagine. I've been saying 'bitchin'' alot recently, so I made it the quote... anyways, in a related topic I heard from Christina (If there is no validity to this story, let me know so I may yell at her -Brian) that over at MTV there was some guy that defecated on some girl at Snowed In, and now she's suing MTV... It's getting to the point now where MTV has officially made our generation look retarded, so let's all go out and relieve ourselves on each other! Woo hoo!
04-04-01 - Nothing spectacular to put in a news post, go post something on the board or something...
04-01-01 - Happy April Fools everyone! *does April fools jig*, man, if only it didn't have to be a Sunday, ah well. I have no time for a long news post, the daylight hours are dwindling and I have many pranks to pull. Later.
03-30-01 - April fools is fast approaching, and it is my all-time favorite holiday, make sure you spend it with someone you love, and don't forget to put saran-wrap over the toilet... The story line has recovered and I am at the concert, the quote was one on a contest over at No Mutants Allowed.
03-27-01 - I needed a little time to figure something out in the story line, so here's a comic that has nothing to do with it. Let's just pretend that after I got the Back Slash ticket I went to go buy a video game. If you haven't been to Galactic-Games yet, you should, They have a lot of good info on Nintendo games and a good staff to back it up. That wacky Cube freak, Dan, from the Message Board works there, and they have alot of cool affiliates. They just switched formats, so cut them a little slack, but go check it out. Today's quote was said by a nuke-worshipping mutant in Fallout: Tactics, it made me laugh so I thought I'd throw it up there. Ok, back to the game, later.
3-23-01 - New story line starts today, I'm not gonna be doing that 'one update every day' thing again, but it's starting none the less. I've been letting quality slip for a while, I'll make it up to you in some fashion, soon. A little background for the story line, Back Slash is a hard rock band, think of them like if Powerman 5000, Rob Zombie and Marylin Manson got together. It's also my character's favorite band, that's there little symbol on my shirt.
03-21-01 - Fallout Tactics rules! I've been playing it nonstop, and you should be too. If you have an N64 you should get Conker's Bad Fur Day so that you can laugh your ass, it's violent, it's sexual, it's everything you need. As for the quote, Scott and I were doing that all day today, team that with you're 'What are Youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu Doing?' and your 'Issssssssssssssssssssssssssss goin' on here?' and you've got yourself all the english lit you'll ever need. Must play Tactics...
03-19-01 - If we got stuck on Survivor island that's pretty much how it would go down, if you don't watch Survivor then you've already missed the slaying of a wild boar and a guy falling face first into a fire, start tuning in. I really did a half-ass job on today's comic, notice that to give the 'tropical' effect I added one palm tree, I also didn't draw us in the last panel, I just kind of insinuated that we were there with the speech annotation going off the panel (Haha! I don't have to do shit! - Brian). Today's quote was said by Randall from Clerks, my all time favorite movie.
03-16-01 - Today's comic was a bunch of combined ideas for comics all pooled into one. I hope you enjoyed reading it as much as I enjoyed drawing it. My favorite is the leprechaun, in his little stance *chuckle*. Well, my local EB told me yesterday that they weren't getting Fallout: Tactics until today, I was genuinely pissed. They better give some 'first day' discount or something or I'm gonna have to start cracking skulls. I'm gonna go beat the demo again. Later days.
03-14-01 - Celebrate good times come on! Today Randi turns the big 17, happy birthday Randi. Ironically enough this is also our 17th comic. I am also very pleased to announce that tomorrow Fallout: Tactics is gonna hit the shelves. For those of you that don't know, Fallout 1 and 2 were two of the greatest RPGs of all time. The game takes place in a post-apocalyptic waste land, so you know it's damned fun. The Fallout titles are my all time favorite games and I highly recommend that you get one of the three, you are really missing out. You can learn more at No Mutants Allowed. Today's quote comes from the song Hey Pretty by Poe. This is a cool song, you should attain it in some fashion. I recommend however, that you get the version with Poe and Mark Danielweski, it's very cool (Hehe, that's a damned good song - Scott). I have to go get myself, and my computer psyched for Tactics, happy birthday Randi, later.
03-11-01 - And thus ends a story for the ages, Jasper has neutralized the alien threat, Scott's room is full of cow feces, every thing's wrapped up nicely. In case you're wondering, the 'lab' that Luke mentions is gonna be in a few upcoming comics, we'll say it's in my garage. Today's quote was from As Good As It Gets, that was a kick-ass movie, I'm gonna be a hermetic writer who insults everyone when I grow up too. Now we take you back to your regularly scheduled programming, expect the next comic Tuesday or Wednesday.
03-10-01 - Yeh, let's not boycott the site over the cow-tipping comics. We're not gonna be responsible for any cows violently pissed off by those who go cow tipping after reading this, and if you end up getting trampled by a bull for doing it, it's your ass. As Good As It Gets is on, I'm gonna go watch that now...
03-09-01 - Most Excellent! *air guitar* Sorry for the lack of news yesterday, and for how late this update is, but I've been busy lately. Today's quote is from another one of the greatest movies of all time, Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey. The comic was also inspired by it. I recommend you see that, and also the first movie Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure.
03-08-01 - Yup, cow tipping.
03-07-01 - If you've seen Army of Darkness (One of the greatest movies EVER - Brian) then you know that today's quote is one of the famous one-liners from Ash. Ash is Jasper's hero, mainly because he ran around with a chain saw and a shot gun leveling the undead, if you haven't seen it I highly recommend you pick up the movie.
03-06-01 - All of us tied up in a back room?!?! Luke turned into a heifer?!?! Egads. The other day Scott and I went on ebay to try and find old NES and Sega Genesises...Genesisus...Genesi? We found a working Sega for 6 bucks... come on people... We've been getting some wacky weather here too, so in the event that the phone lines go down and I can't go online *involuntary shudder* be patient, it's on its way. The Forum did pretty well it's first day and we got a couple topics going, if you're a gamer I recommend you go there and throw in your two cents on the Game Cube/X-Box/PS issue. There're some other good topics going too, go post.
03-05-01 - *claps* ... Ah well. The Message Board is up, click the link to visit it and post a message. I also added 'Back' buttons to all the comics in the Archives, I probably should have done this in Saturday's update, but we here at Styrofoam Peanuts believe that having common sense is unimportant. And we stick by that. I couldn't update the comic yesterday because the server was down. If you came here prematurely expecting an update and there wasn't one, you can click on the Mind-It thing at the bottom of the main page to get an E-mail when we do update so you don't have to be pissed when there's not a new comic. This might happen from time to time so please bear with us. Sorry 'bout that. Later.
03-03-01 - Here's a comic featuring Christina, and it's about frickin' time. As it would appear, the aliens are tracking us down, one by one. That kinda sucks... Today's quote is a line from 'Am I Wrong?' by Love Spit Love, I like that line. It's frickin' deep. I also added a handy 'Next' button on all of the comics in the Archives so you can access them easier.
T-Minus: 03-02-01 - Ignition. Here's the new comic, featuring Jasper and Randi. My apoligies to Chris who I've totally ignored since the first comic, you're in tomorrow's. The quote is the philosophy of Jazz Jackrabbit. A video game character from way back in the days of original PC gaming. Ah the good old days... Doom, Wolfenstein, Maniac Mansion, Monkey Island, X-Com... *snif* I'm sorry I have something in my eye *runs off*.
03-01-01 - Ok everybody, here's the latest installment of the Evil Us story. Today's quote was coined by comedic genius Mel Brooks, let's take a moment to bask in the glow of it's ever-shiny awesome-shine. Woo-hoo, now it's time for me to make like a fetus and head out. Later.
02-28-01 - Today begins a new story line. Very pod-people inspired. And, hey! We finally got some hacky sack in the comic, and it's about time. I've made a couple changes during today's update. For instance, the comics in the Archives will now have the news of the day that comic ran with them. I also updated the Links page a bit. Hey! Full Contact Origami's back up. I just visited it today for no reason and they had a new comic, so woo hoo. I went to Daily Radar and apparently the Nintendo Gamecube is starting production, they also have alot of new screen shots for some new games on the PS2. The next comic is on the way, so stayed tuned kiddies. Same bat-time, same bat-channel.
02-26-01 - So Randi's mom got a hold of the site, and apparently she enjoyed it. So I said "Hey now." as I often do, and I thought it'd be cool to put her in one. So there you go Mrs. Misterka, immortalized forever in the world of cartoons. I thought I'd throw you all a handy-dandy heads up: Starting Wednesday the "evil us" story line will be beginning. I was originally gonna run it as normal but then found out it took about 11 strips to finish the story. So what I decided to do is this; starting Wednesday there will be an update every day (That's right, settle down - Brian) for 11 days afterwards. The line came out pretty good and I think you'll all enjoy it. So make sure to visit while the line's running. Later.
02-24-01 - Hehe, when I first showed Scott this one he said "Why am I bringing the sasquatch flowers?" and I just wanted to say, I think we all know why Scott brought the sasquatch flowers (Yeh, keep laughing... - Scott). Christina was nice enough to write a little essay for the site, which is located over here. Christina also wanted me to throw her personal E-mail on here, (It's your funeral - Brian) so here it is: ChrisFC85@aol.com, try not to bug the crap out of her. I finally threw some stuff on the Links after totally neglecting it. I put up my two all time favorite webcomics Rusty Shrapnel and Penny Arcade........ I'm starving, I need to get a sandwich in me, asta la later.
02-22-01 - Hey everybody. I think I've almost got the comics down. Today's comic is about Scott's favorite animal, the sasquatch. That's exactly what a sasquatch looks like, by the way, Scott told me. Today's quote was brought up in a conversation between me and Luke... don't ask how. By the way Luke told me there's a problem with the links to mail us, but others told me it's ok. I'm not sure, if there is a %20 appearing before Styrofoampeanuts@hotmail.com just delete it, the address is what it says. (That Sasquatch looks a whole helluva lot like John Duda... - Brian)
02-20-01 - Gadzuks! An update on the very next day? Oh yes my friends. And why? Cause I honestly have nothing better to do. Yesterdays comic has found a new home in the Archives where all old comics shall retire to. I failed to mention the Bios section, yesterday, where you can learn about us and try to figure out what's going on. Hey we got a shorter name! The site can now be accessed at http://nav.to/Styrofoampeanuts, so all you that came here with http://www.fortunecity.com/bennyhills/barr/43/ stop being silly. Here's the new comic, thing are looking a little bit better, but not much. I added something to the Art section, it's the concept sketches of the Evil Us's for an upcoming story line. I didn't touch them with PhotoImpact, so unlike the other stuff on this site, it doesn't look like it was drawn by a four-year-old. But as soon as me and my scanner get back on speaking terms everything should be cool. Today's quote was made by Chris Rock on his Mtv Diary, that's comedy folks.
02-19-01 - Woo hoo! The site is finally up, and thank god. Wow, we look like crap, my bad. I'm new to this whole webcomic deal, but as soon as I figure out what the hell I'm doing everything should be A-Ok. You know what? No one's reading this right now. I'm typing for no reason... none of you know this site exists... la la la la la la... well anyway, here's the first comic. Thanks to my amigos Chris, Randi, Luke and Scott. Who without, none of this would have went down. We will be moving this site to a different server soon, until then it's Fortune Cities. Again, my bad. Alright... I'm gonna go throw free AOL trial discs around like frisbees, later.
